“Suspense” is a really good short horror film
I came across the short film Suspense somewhat randomly, and as it’s only six and a half minutes I watched it. It’s really well done. I think it is great that we live in a world where people can make this sort of thing and I can see it on the other side of the world.
I keep meaning to support short-film makers more. In my defence, I did write about the film Estate and before that posted the short sci-fi film Skywatch. Both of which you should check out if you missed them. But I could do more.
Suspense was written and directed by two brothers, Ben and Jacob Burghart. I will use the blurb on the YouTube page to explain the plot.
Having survived a harrowing plane crash, an army pilot finds himself hanging from his parachute, suspended from a canopy of trees high above the forest floor. After making contact with his co-pilot on the ground, they realize that something is stalking them in the dark.

The makers have stated that they graded the film to be like their favourite 70s war films, so the whole thing has a slight retro feel to it. Which is cool.
I should point out that I am in no way affiliated with Suspense or its makers. I just saw it and thought it was pretty cool. If you want to get in touch with the film-makers, you can go to the YouTube page linked above and there is a list of their social media.
So without further waffle, here’s Suspense. Enjoy.
