Star Wars: Jedi Fallen Order
There was a new Star Wars episode 9 trailer out yesterday but I think anything who cares about such things will have already seen it. So I thought I would share some other Star Wars news because it is potentially damned exciting. Star Wars: Jedi Fallen Order is coming out this year and although I was initially not that bothered, I am now cautiously interested. Allow me to explain.
It is obviously an exciting moment when a new Star Wars game is announced because there is a chance it might be a good one. Might be. Or it might be potentially good but is then ruined by greed, micro-transactions, loot boxes or just generally being an annoying developer/publisher. I will not name names for legal reasons. This new game is being published by EA. Feel free to infer what you will by that juxtaposition. However, Jedi Fallen Order is being developed by Respawn Entertainment and they did Titanfall and Apex Legends. So it might actually be pretty good depending on which way they run with it.
This is where some good news comes in, especially for a gamer such as myself. I like solo games. I don’t mind multiplayer but I prefer solo and I like a full, complete, finished game. If there has to be a shop, then make it cosmetic only. I love games like Uncharted, GTA, the Witcher, Assassin’s Creed, etc. So when, the other day, it was announced that this will be single player, third-person game with no multiplayer elements and no micro-transactions, I was both surprised and cautiously excited. I can’t just keep playing the KOTOR games after all. Then they released a trailer which looks fairly good.
Star Wars: Jedi Fallen Order is due out in November this year which is perfect as you can read the reviews before requesting it for Christmas. The trailer didn’t make me jump from my chair with excitement but it does show a potentially fun game which is pretty much the point. This is a link to the EA
