Expanse Season 4 is on its way

Exciting times are afoot. Thanks to certain plucky science fiction websites campaigning for it, the Expanse TV show has been saved and season 4 will soon be on Amazon Prime. I guess some other people might have helped but I am pretty sure it was mostly Scifiward.

It is, however, a somewhat bittersweet victory for me as I have an Amazon UK account but don’t live in the UK. Basically, I can watch a few TV shows and by ‘few’ I mean pitifully small. This is because lawyers or governments or whatever suck. Netflix manages to play tons of stuff abroad, so WTF Amazon? I have complained about this before so will shut up.

The Expanse Season 4 will see our plucky crew go through the ring gate system to a planet called Ilus. I am clearly a huge fan of the series but I have to admit, it wasn’t one of my favourite books (Cibola Burn) of the eight that are out. There is a kind of standoff with the villagers that just went on a bit too long. But don’t get me wrong, this is still the Expanse and things soon get exciting. It’s a great book with a lot of action and these things are relative. I am sure the TV version will be balls to the wall excitement!

The Expanse Season 4 will be out on Amazon Prime on the 13th December. In related news, at the London Comicon, the creators said that they have just started filming season 5! Also, the music they use in the trailer actually comes from an Expanse fan-trailer because the fans are great and talented people. Here’s the trailer:
