The Witcher Trailer is out and it looks pretty good

I am immensely excited about the Witcher and the upcoming Netflix TV show. The Witcher was originally a series of books by Polish author Andrzej Sapkowski that then got made into three computer games. I should come clean here, I am a huge fan based solely on the Witcher 3 computer game, which is easily in my top 5 games of all time. Possibly even top 3. And I play a lot of games.

The Netflix TV version will be based on the books. Which is fair enough. The games were also based on the books and the world created, along with the characters and their history were utterly absorbing. I keep meaning to read the novels as one thing I loved about the game was that even the optional side quests were like engrossing short stories – so different from most games with their ‘kill x number of x’ or ‘kill all the bandits’ or similar time-sinks.

When it was initially cast a lot of people complained about Henry Cavill being the lead character Geralt, but he now seems a pretty solid choice going by the trailer. Anyway, I have waffled enough.
