The new Fallout Trailer looks mutastically superb
I love the Fallout games, and now they are coming to Amazon Prime in live-action form. Like most people, I’ve only actually played Fallout 3, Fallout New Vegas, and Fallout 4. They represent literally 100+ hours of time well spent.
Is Fallout sticking close to the games?
The trailer certainly looks close to the games. There is even a Mr Handy and a guy in a power suit belting a Yao Guai (mutant bear). If I remember correctly, Fallout 4 was set around 200 years after all the nuclear bombs fell. According to the trailer below, the upcoming show is set a couple of centuries after the nuclear war. So, all the factions, mutants, robots, and weird beasts should be familiar to those who have played the games.
Certainly, the humour, set design, and costumes are spot on. Also, having Matt Berry as a psychotic robot was a nice touch.
In summary, I’m feeling pretty optimistic.
Here’s the blurb…
“Based on one of the greatest video game series of all time, Fallout is the story of haves and have-nots in a world in which there’s almost nothing left to have. 200 years after the apocalypse, the gentle denizens of luxury fallout shelters are forced to return to the irradiated hellscape their ancestors left behind — and are shocked to discover an incredibly complex, gleefully weird and highly violent universe waiting for them. From executive producers Jonathan Nolan and Lisa Joy, the creators of Westworld, starring Ella Purnell, Aaron Moten, Walton Goggins and more. All episodes arrive April 11 on Prime Video.”
From the Amazon Webpage
Intrigued? Me too. You can check out the Amazon page here. Despite the text in the above picture, Fallout seems like it will be released on the 11th April. The first three episodes anyway. So, without further informative waffle, here’s the trailer:
