The Cosmic Scroll is a new Substack all about SFF

I finally started a Substack called The Cosmic Scroll! It will look at all things related to science fiction and fantasy – aka SFF. Exciting stuff. Here is the blurb:

A look at classic and current science fiction and fantasy. Films, shows, books, games, and comics will be discussed, reviewed and occasionally ranted about.

That came from this…

What will be on The Cosmic Scroll and why start a Substack?

Essentially, it will be like this site. Unlike this site, however, you can stay up to date with all developments thanks to a weekly newsletter. It will be short and sweet and link to things I’ve written, or to things I think you might find interesting.

The problem I have noticed is that a surprising number of people come to this site because it randomly popped up in a search or came from a link shared on social media. Then they forget about it. And That’s fair enough. While the content is obviously superbly written and downright fascinating, who is going to set a reminder to check? I do have regular readers, so I assume some have favourited the site, but something as shallow yet informative as my ramblings on SFF deserve more attention.

It has also come to my attention that many people, such as myself, love science fiction and fantasy, and yet there is a surprising lack of content for them.

I won’t be doing a massively broad sweep of everything, but I will touch on hot topics, while reviewing everything from the latest Star Wars film or Sanderson book to more obscure stuff like Edmund Cooper books or shows like Blake 7 and Lexx.

The plan is to write about various things here on the glory that is ScifiWard, plus other items of interest, and then add them to a weekly message, so you can stay up to date and only read what interests you.

So, if you fancy a fun read once a week, feel free to sign up to The Cosmic Scroll by clicking on this link.
