Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings trailer

Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings trailer has just been released and it looks great. Although all trailers look spectacular nowadays, so I won’t get too excited.

It is a Marvel film and they rarely put a foot wrong. The majority of their films that are just ‘ok’ are mostly in Phase 1 and 2 but even the majority of those phases were great. Phase 3 was flawless, culminating in Endgame. Now we have Phase 4.

Shang-Chi was a comic book character who was originally the son of Fu Manchu. In the upcoming film, he seems to be the son of the Mandarin. This is awesome, as the Mandarin is a great supervillain. Don’t be confused by the Ben Kingsley imposter thing in Iron Man 3. That was an act inspired by the mysterious underground baddie that’s the real Mandarin.

The trailer for Shang-Chi looks like it is going to have a lot of brilliant hand-to-hand kung fu fighting action. Which is totally cool with me. Here is the trailer and after that, a breakdown of the trailer that is actually pretty interesting and spots a load of stuff I didn’t notice.

Now for the breakdown. I don’t normally watch these things but this one was actually pretty helpful. There a lot of hidden stuff in the Shang-Chi trailer that I totally missed. Including the rings mentioned in the title. Check it out, if you like these sorts of clips.

Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings is due for release on the 3rd September 2021.
