New Dune Trailer looks absolutely fantastic

The new Dune trailer (2020) is out and it looks fucking superb. I am a huge fan of the Dune series of books by Frank Herbert. You can read my review of the original Dune book here (spoiler – I highly recommend it).

The cast is perfect, the sets, the world, the worms, everything looks spot on. I would have more reservations but I have yet to see a bad Denis Villeneuve film. I absolutely loved Blade Runner 2049 and the world he created.

Here is an interesting fact. Somewhere on the interweb, you will be able to find a documentary called Jodorowsky’s Dune. (You can watch it here if you can’t.) It is about the cult film director Alejandro Jodorowsky and his attempts to make Dune back in the day. One thing he wanted was for Pink Floyd to do some of the music. I don’t know if the music in this trailer is just a coincidence but it certainly fits.

I can’t wait to see some of the scenes from the book. Quite a lot is shown here and I am ludicrously excited. I’m tempted to risk the cinema just in case the Dune trailer is shown there. In IMAX it will be superb. Anyway, enough waffle. Here’s the trailer:
