Let’s face it, The Eternals is probably going to be great

The Eternals trailer appeared recently and it looks pretty cool. At this point with Marvel, I have stopped saying, ‘God, I hope this is good.’ Because they almost seem unable to put a foot wrong. At their worst, they release a great film that isn’t quite as good as some others.

The trailer looks fun and I hope they have a lot of stuff about them throughout history – although I guess if they don’t get involved in stuff, then it might get dull. I’m not going to lie, I don’t know much about the Eternals beyond the fact that they were created by the Celestials, like Ego in Guardians of the Galaxy 2.

There is always this Eternals Wikipedia page to bring you up to speed. (That was for the comics, not the film.) Their traditional enemies are the awesomely named ‘Deviants’ who, unsurprisingly, looks a lot cooler than the good guys. I suspect they will have someone else to fight in the first of their films but we might see one or two Deviants.

Maybe the deviants will be the big bad guys of Marvel Phase 4, who knows? Most rumours point to Mephisto but we’ll see.

I was surprised to see that Neil Gaiman did an Eternals comic that I have since bought, so I guess I will soon know what I am talking about. It looks pretty cool:

Anyway, the Eternals looks great and has a superb cast. I am off to read some of the comics and fill in my glaring gaps of knowledge.
