Fallout season 2 is coming to New Vegas! All we know so far…

Fallout season 2 is coming in December and I am tremendously excited. I wish I could say a new Fallout game was coming as well, but we can’t have everything.
So far, we just have an image that shows the main three characters under the New Vegas sign. We kind of knew they were likely to head there due to the ending of season one, but is that all?
Because I’m such a fan, I have scoured the web for more info. I should point out right now that I don’t have much, but there are some hints and clues.
What do we know about Fallout season 2?
The cast
First off, we obviously know the returning cast. They’re in the picture. But in case you’ve forgotten, they are Ella Purnell as Lucy, Walton Goggins as The Ghoul, and Aaron Moten as Maximus. And let’s not forget – Dogmeat!
Others who are returning are Kyle Maclachlan (I mean, obviously), Sarita Chodhury as Moldaver, and Leslie Uggams as Betty.
Apparently Macaulay Culkin will join the cast as some kind of “crazy genius-type”.
Anthony Misiano is rumoured to return as Mr House, but as there are several reports that he wasn’t actually Mr House in the first season, it is safer to say that he will probably just be back.
Another rumour, which I hope is true, is that Aaron Paul will appear, as will Caesar’s Legion. That’s interesting if you have played Fallout 4.
The world and what to expect in the new season
It’s no secret by now that the action will, at least partly, take place in New Vegas. But from what I have read, it will take place a decade or two after the game was set. Which makes sense, as basing a show on an RPG with different endings, wouldn’t work.
If you remember the end of season 1, we see the skull of a deathclaw. Well, season 2 will have at least one that is alive. The co-showrunner Graham Wagner is quoted as saying:
“We wanted to get Deathclaws, but we didn’t want to just throw it away. It’s such a monumental piece. We want to save something for Season 2 to be able to do it properly, not just add on to the massive world-building we had to do already in Season 1. So, Season 2, we’re very excited to finally tackle one of the most iconic elements of the games.”
Executive producer Jonathan Nolan has also teased some beasties.
“There are more monsters, more environments, more factions that we are currently designing and building right now to begin production quite soon. So we’re really excited.”
There are some other quotes from the cast, but most of them amount to “I’m not allowed to talk about stuff but it is going to be great.
Production, release, and double exciting news!
Fallout season 2 officially wrapped in early May this year (2025) and will be out in December. There is no official date though. Maybe it will be a Christmas treat.
In even more exciting news:
Season 3 has been greenlit already!
And additionally:
There is supposed to be a new trailer out during Gamescom opening night – which is the 19th of August. Exciting times.
(I was going to end with some gripe about no new Fallout game being on the horizon, but they are currently working on Skyrim 6, so will let them off.)
Roll on December!
