Cyberpunk 2077 trailer

I grew up repeatedly watching Blade Runner and reading 2000AD comics and always looked forward to living in a fun and technology packed cyberpunk future that should kick in around 2020. I am writing this on a slim tablet, there is wifi everywhere, VR, drones, overcrowding and in Bangkok at least (where I live), a very “Blade Runner” atmosphere. It still isn’t quite as cool and neon-drenched as I had hoped but we are getting there.

Until I can move to Mega City One, I can just lose myself in the upcoming Cyberpunk 2077, which looks fucking amazing. There was a trailer that came out a while ago that was more a piece of art than a trailer, it won awards (click here to see it), but now CD PROJEKT RED has finally developed a proper trailer. This was the studio that made The Witcher 3, easily one of my top 5 games of all time. In that game, the studio not only provided great artwork and graphics but also designed great gameplay dynamics and importantly, amazing stories. I know it was from a book but even the side-quests were great short stories and Cyberpunk 2077 is from an RPG, so there should also be interesting lore and tales to be told.

I’m psyched and will shut up now. Cyberpunk 2077 has no official release date and has been in development since late 2012. Now there is a proper trailer and announcements, the rumours are that is will be released around mid-2019.
