Crashlands on the iPad is a lot of fun
I had downloaded Crashlands onto my iPad a while back and have only just gotten round to trying it out. Spoiler – it’s great! I play a lot of games on my iPad but for some reason, rarely review them and have never done so here. The last one was 80 days over on my other equally fantastic site.
You play a galactic delivery man who, you probably guessed this already, crashes. You then have to build stuff to survive, then build more stuff to achieve your mission. It is a bit like ‘Don’t Starve’ except in space and you don’t die as often.
Crashlands is a lot of fun if you like this kind of genre (crafting, survival RPG) and as I was playing it, I though I might as well recommend it. And recommend it, I do. Sure the idea is hardly new (I have just started watching the new ‘Lost in Space’ for example,) but it is well done with a lot of humour. I was playing on my iPad Pro, due to its screen size, but am now playing on a normal iPad because unlike the Pro, I carry that around everywhere and am addicted. Which pretty much states how I feel about the game and wraps up this mini review quite nicely.
If you like survival games and fancy something that is lighthearted and fun, I think you should give Crashlands a go.
