Empire Strikes Back to the Future

I meant to post this Empire Strikes Back / Back to the Future mashup a while ago but thought I would wait a bit for those who somehow missed it. Definitely not because I got busy then forgot.

Mark Hamill is pretty active on social media and this comes from him. Which kind of makes it official. What he did was edit a scene, (or hired someone to do so,) from Back to the Future and stick Star Wars people in it.  Possibly because they are both his favourite films but equally possibly because they have ‘Back’ in their titles in a way that makes it easy to blend. Plus they have the whole, smart old guy and excited young hero dynamic. They are really well done. The first is actually from Back to the Future 2 and features Luke and Obi-Wan (and Jabba in the background).
Alec Guinness looks pretty cool with that haircut.

The next one is Luke with his dad in the diner. Which means that he has travelled back in time to meet his father and presumably spends a lot of time having Padme hit on him.

I thought these were fun and well done. When Disney finally buys the rights to Back to the Future, they should make this happen.  Make it so! Oh, hang on…
